The fruiting bodies of King stropharia are very fleshy. They are very deliciouse for barbecue or to bread. The shaft of the garden giant is white, the cap winered. Stropharia rugoso annulata bares purple-brown spores. Out in the nature Stropharia is distrubuted through nearly all deciduous woodlands in the moderate climate zone. (Europa, New Zealand, Japan, Mid-Atlantic states in north america). It is very simple to apply a mushroom bed in your garden! Just mix the spawn with suitable substrate (i.e. wood chips or straw) and keep it wet! It is also possible to use rye grain for outdoor inoculation, but grain attracts to rats, mouse an other animals who eat the whole mycelium. Depending on the species the first fruiting bodies will appear a few month after inoculation of the substrate.
