Instructions for Grow-Kit

Mushrooms need the right temperature, enough humidity, enough fresh air and some light to bear fruit.

The MRCA grow-kit consists of: Greenhouse (green base, transparent top), a digital temperature control, a humoidity/CO2–pump with plastic box and ceramic exhaust as well as Perlite. Clean all plastic parts – especially base and top – with hot water and a cleaning agent and disinfect if needed.

Put the battery into the digital temperature sensor and take the white cable out. To set the right temperature follow these instructions: [set] – [mode] – press the arrow button until the required temperature is shown – press again [set]. Plug the temperature sensor in and connect it to the cable coming from the green base.

Fill the plastic box with water (circa 3 cm below the lip). Install the silicon tubes as follows: Connect the tube coming from the plastic box of the ceramic exhaust with the pump (remove the transportation lock ->the rubber stopper at the intake connection). Mount the second tube into the hole of the transparent top of the greenhouse. Make sure that the end inside the greenhouse is positioned above the water surface!

Rinse the Perlite in a sieve with warm tap water and distribute it evenly on the green base of the greenhouse. Place the temperature probe between a spawnbrick and the Perlite.

We recommend running the grow-kit for several hours before positioning the spawnbricks to optimise the temperature.

Set the grow-kit on a lucid place up but avoid direct sunlight. The growing room has to be tidy. So mop the floor and clean the space surrounding the grow-kit several times a week with hot water and cleaning agent.

Please note: Control the water level constantly. Control the mushroom mycelium daily for contamination (such as mould and bacterial infestation) and remove infested bricks immediately! Clean and disinfect the gorw-kit properly after every passage. Use new and clean Perlite for every new passage to prevent potential contamination.

To reduce humidity after the pinning phase you can open the ventilation valves.
If you work with the model "Profi" you can regulate the pumping capacity additionally.
